Since 1949, HJW GeoSpatial has been providing government and private-sector clients with professional geospatial information services. As a prime full-service photogrammetry firm covering the southwest United States, we provide a full, integrated suite of professional in-house photogrammetric mapping services including digital and film-based aerial imagery acquisition, aerial triangulation, LiDAR terrain mapping, photogrammetric digital terrain modeling, contour mapping, orthoimagery generation, and digital planimetric/topographic mapping. These core services are successfully complemented by our specialized remote sensing, GIS and related consulting services.
Planimetric and Topographic Mapping
HJW has earned a reputation for quality mapping, attributed to the care and attention to detail applied by our photogrammetric map compilation team. Our quality standards ensure proper accuracy, completeness, consistency, data formats and CAD translations. Every project is designed, managed and overseen by ASPRS-Certified Photogrammetrists.
Orthophotography
HJW is an early adopter and innovator in orthophoto production, and continues that path by offering both color and CIR orthoimagery, acquired by the Ultracam X digital aerial mapping camera.
LiDAR Terrain Modeling
HJW provides airborne LiDAR processing, terrain modeling, photogrammetric integration and also coordinates new data acquisition. HJW integrates orthoimagery and stereo photography into the LiDAR processing workflow, allowing rigorous quality control of LiDAR point geo-referencing, point filtering and match to control sources.
Aerial Photography
HJW offers aerial photography with the Microsoft / Vexcel Ultracam X large format digital aerial mapping camera. Our camera is mounted in a Cessna 206, dedicated to serving California and the Southwest United States.
Historic Archives
HJW’s Historic Archives division, Pacific Aerial Surveys, offers historic aerial photography dating back to the 1927. We offer scans, contact prints and orthoimagery from historic photography to support a diverse set of uses including legal and environmental analysis.
GIS and Data Integration
HJW’s staff routinely handles the integration, QA/QC and characterization of geospatial data from varied sources including LiDAR, aerial photography, GIS, field survey, hydrographic survey, satellite and mobile mapping data.
