In spring of 2009, APE acquired Advanced Lasers in Indianapolis, Indiana. Advanced Lasers has been in the construction industry for more than 30 years and has been providing 3D machine control solutions since 1999. APE and Advanced were able to combine their extensive knowledge and experience and raise the bar for customer service and support.

In October 2009, APE acquired the Spatial Systems division of Loyola Enterprises Inc, located in Richmond, Virginia, a leading distributor and service provider for Leica Geosystems measurement technology. APE will have direct coverage in the states of Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, Mississippi, Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Indiana and Washington DC.
