Due to the Federal Government shutdown, NOAA.gov and most associated web sites are unavailable. However, because the information this site provides is necessary to protect life and property, this information will be updated and maintained during the Federal Government shutdown.

In support of NOAA's excepted activity to protect lives and property, the National Geodetic Survey is providing limited CORS data for the northern Gulf of Mexico area impacted by Tropical Storm Karen.

Data is being provided in collaboration with 6 contributing agencies:

    Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT)
    Florida Department of Transportation (FLDOT)
    International GNSS Service (IGS)
    Louisiana State University - Center for GeoInformatics
    University of Southern Mississippi (USM) - Gulf Coast Geospatial Center (GCGC)
    United States Coast Guard (USGS)

A map of the available sites is shown below: Data is available only via ftp server ftp://geodesy.noaa.gov/gulfcoast-special/cors/ The data is arranged with a directory and file structure almost identical to usual CORS data distribution structure Please read the following file for details on directory and file structure: ftp://geodesy.noaa.gov/gulfcoast-special/README.txt

NGS is providing:
RINEX 2.11 files (hourly and daily)
Global broadcast orbit files
IGS orbits (ultra-rapid, rapid and final)
NGS coordinate files (not available for DEV1 as this is a preliminary site)
Plots - Short-term Quality control plots
Station Logs
Status files (Updated hourly)

Additional stations not part of the CORS network may be available from ALDOT, FLDOT, USM-GCGC, LSU-C4G, please use the URL listed for each of the afore mentioned agencies at www.ngs.noaa.gov to contact the agencies.
