With more vehicles in build at any one time than ever before, unmanned marine system producer Autonomous Surface Vehicles (ASV) is undergoing a rapid growth phase. These exciting times have seen the UK based company double in size over the past year.
Jon Westbrook CBE joins ASV from almost forty years in the Royal Navy recently retiring in the rank of Rear Admiral. With his wealth of maritime and operational experience Jon will take the role of Board Advisor and will be accompanying the team at DSEI from Tuesday 10th September. Jon’s career has seen him take on a wide spectrum of naval roles, the most recently being Chief of Staff in the NATO Maritime HQ in Naples, Italy. When talking about his new role at ASV Jon said:
"I believe that there are some really exciting opportunities to push the boundaries of autonomous surface vehicles in many and varied maritime applications in both commercial and military operations. I am excited to join a young and vibrant business on the leading edge of the field and on the cusp of major developments and expansion."
ASV also welcomes Keith Birch as an Oceanographic Consultant.
