The Institute of Navigation Announces 2013 Elected Fellow Members
The Institute of Navigation (ION) announced the recipients of the 2013 fellow memberships during the ION International Technical Meeting (ITM) 2013 in San Diego, California January 28-30, 2013.
Election to Fellow membership recognizes the distinguished contributions of The Institute of Navigation members to the advancement of the technology, management, practice and teaching the arts and science of navigation; and/or lifetime contributions to the Institute.
Ronald L. Beard has been elected for his contributions to the development of highly stable clocks for satellite navigation.
Dr. Alan G. Evans has been elected for innovative developments and demonstrations in navigation and geodetic sciences, and for service to geodetic communities.
Professor Terry Moore has been elected for outstanding leadership of the navigation community, establishment of the Nottingham Geospatial Institute and sustained contributions to the advancement of navigation and GNSS.
