Tim Weyland, a human resource (HR) executive with more than 20 years of experience at various companies, has been named vice president of human resources for Topcon America Corporation.
In that position he will be responsible for Topcon Positioning Systems headquartered in California and Topcon Medical Services, headquartered in New Jersey.
His most recent experience includes corporate director for organization and talent development for Trinet Human Resources Corporation in San Leandro, California; regional director for Human Capital Consulting in the Silicon Valley; vice president of McKesson Corporation in San Francisco, in addition to other human resource positions over a 20+ year career. He was also managing director of an HR consulting business for several years.
He will work out of the company’s Livermore, California headquarters and will report to David Mudrick, president and CEO of Topcon America Corporation.

Weyland has a BA degree in history (University of California), an MS in counseling psychology (California State University) and is a graduate of the Human Resources Executive Program from the University of Michigan.
His professional history also includes:

- Author of white papers on Human Capital Planning, plus other topics, and
- Senior Professional in Human Resources certification (2008).
