Allen Precision Equipment
Our Vision Is Your Success
By Tracy Foran
One of the things I enjoy the most about being general manager of the Allen Precision Equipment Online Marketplace is that I’m able to get a feel for the pulse of the surveying profession and share that knowledge with our customers to help them be more successful.
Right now, I see signs that the economy is improving. People are going back to work and buying new equipment. And one of the trends I’m seeing is a transition from manual instruments to robotics. We’re selling a lot more robotic total stations because they enable one person to do the work of an entire crew.
I also see more surveyors shopping online for their equipment and supplies. To support this trend, we’ve added new features to our Online Marketplace that enhance the user experience, including a comprehensive Blackboard with useful reference and how-to information, and new payment options for online purchases. The site has received a five-star “Shopper-Approved” rating from customers, along with an overwhelming amount of positive feedback.
APE doesn’t believe in a one-size-fits-all solution. That’s why we carry more than 75 brands and offer more than 3,000 surveying, mapping and construction products. We also have a full fleet of rental equipment available, including high-definition scanners.
But we don’t just sell and rent products; we provide knowledge and service. We fully support everything we sell. Whether you log in to Live Chat in our Online Marketplace or call our toll-free number, our experts are standing by to assist you. Our vision for the future is to help you succeed.
