We recently purchased a Focus Robotic TS.  I know the instrument can turn good angles and distances but when we ran a 6000lf traverse we misclosed by nearly half a foot.  Has anyone else had a problem like this?  When we went back and turned the angles with our old Topcon total station the traverse was much tighter 0.05 by 0.05.

Any and all suggestions are welcome.

You tell us. You have 2 set of data on the same traverse. What are the differences?

Have you collimated the instrument? Has it been to a calibration base line? What are the splits like on your F/R angle sets? What procedures did you use on the traverse? It's quite possible to get a poorly calibrated instrument from the factory - but the most likely answer is that you simply had a bust somewhere..
