We use a Trimble S6 robotic total station with the Trimble CU data collector.  We do not have the Trimble Office software program- we just sinc with ActiveSinc in order to obtain our CSV files.  My problem is we are unable to open a .job file and view the survey report in a readable "field book" style.  In fact, we don't have a program to view our .job files at all.  A Trimble dealer gave us a temporary demo Trimble Business Center program, and there's a tag-along transfer utility function that works, but it's way more bells and whistles than we're interested in and costly.  Anyone have a solution?

If you are wanting the coordinates and description information you should be able to export the file as a .txt file and open it with any notepad/word program.

If you are talking about wanting to see the hard info (ie the angles, distances and procedures used to get the points) that is in the .raw files, and once download the file to your PC you can chose to open it as a notepad file.
