What are the CAD Standards??? |

what are the specific cad standards for the civil engineering and surveying fields? i need to know the best cad standards for the civil engineering and surveying field! ncs has theirs, architects have theirs, and the instructor says the're useless!!, ansi does not list a set of cad standards for the above fields. the instructor refuses to help me and says, "my way is the right way!, my way is the only way!, all other ways are worthless!!"
i need to know these cad standards and more:
- dimmension style standards
- layer standards
- scale standards for specific paper sizes. our school is restricted to 8.5" x 11"
- border standards
- drawing area standards
- text style standards
- appearance standards
- sheet style standards
- lineweight standards
- linetype standards
- line color standards
- project standards for specific disciplines
- alignment standards
- roadway standards
- railroad standards
every state and the feds seem to publish a different set of cad standards and not one of them sing the same tune!! i'm interested in a single standard that makes sense to all no matter what the project is.
each standard has some good points but many bad points as well.
is there anyone out there that can help me instead of making me hunt for the snipe?
