I find that a good aerial target material in a pinch is "white rolled roofing material" that you can buy at Lowes or Home depot. It is bright and also it is heavy so it wont blow away from the wind.
You can snap chalk lines on the back or black side then just run a razor knife done the line and bend and snap off! The first one can be used as a template so you don't have to keep snapping lines. I push 60penny nails in the corners just to make sure a heavy wind does not flip the edges. I tell you the truth, when I go back to inspect the targets before the flight they are
100% the way I left them. With the exception of vandalism. Also they make great templates
for your painted targets in the road. Just draw around them with some lumber crayon pick them up and start painting!!

We buy Griffolyn in 1' or 2' wide rolls hundreds of feet long. We cut them up into appropriate lengths and roll 2 up into a nice burrito with the spikes and tins, all tied up with a string. We make tens or hundreds at a time in advance. The nice thing about this stuff is it is black on one side, white on the other, useful for normal conditions or deserts and salt encrusted dry lake beds. With the wider width you can fold over a couple inches on each side to get a strong contrasting edge. Another nice thing is that this stuff is impregnated with a grid of string, making it tear proof. I've found my targets several years later, sometimes up 5 years with no damage, only in need of having some dirt and dust brushed off. Great stuff. Our local equipment supplier buys it in the 4' roll and cuts to order.
