A question on education in GIS |

| I am trying to break into a career in regional and urban planning, and to that end I am thinking of getting a second Bachelor's degree, in GIS. The problem is, no institution near me seems to offer such a degree. Does anyone know if any reputable Bachelor's degrees in GIS can be found online? Also, what jobs exactly can be had with a certificate in GIS? Thank you all for the advice.

| late response (sorry) - you never mention what your first Bachelor's degree is even in. I think you would be best served looking into Master's / Grad level programs. Most bigger schools w/ established engineering and/or surveying programs will have GIS certificate programs, or even Master's degree programs, some of a Plan B (non-thesis) basis, which helps if you don't have broad training in the geographic sciences yet.
