Looking for opinions on whether or not Government Lots as created by GLO surveyors are considered to be platted Lots and are the Original GLO Survey plats duly recorded plats?

I would say that GLO lots are at the same level of authority as Sections and would hold a priority supperior to recorded plats made by private surveyors as agents for private owners.  An original recorded GLO plat, that is recorded with the State Land Office, is the authority for the origin of title.  Local authorities can not amend or redefine GLO lots or sections.  The rules for recovery of GLO lots fall under the BLM procedure for recovery of lost or obliverated corners.

    Why do you ask?

The Sections, quarter sections, subdivisions of the PLSS, and yes, Lots were all simoltaneously created when the plat was accepted and approved. The plats are located in various places through out the country.

The Lots, quarter sections, half quarter sections, quarter/ quarter sections, etc., are all protracted from the original Plat.
