Neil Sandler
Publisher

Neil has been publisher of Professional Surveyor Magazine since 2004. He began his career as an award-winning daily newspaper journalist and photographer, worked as press aid for a U.S. senator in Washington, D.C., and served as managing editor of a major national trade publication and editor/publisher for a regional bicycling magazine. He is an avid cyclist, runner, swimmer, hiker, and skier. In 2008, he completed what he hopes will be first of many triathlons. Neil is married and has two young children.



Rachael Phillips
Director of Sales and Business Development


Rachael has been the advertising director at Professional Surveyor Magazine for six years. She energetically works to get every advertiser the best ad, placement, and campaign to improve their exposure to the surveying community. She diligently reviews each issue to ensure optimal quality and precision for her valued clients. You may see her at one of the many trade shows around the globe; her affinity for travel and desire to know new and interesting people makes this job a perfect match for her strongest skills. Rachael also enjoys personal travel and fitness training as well as sharing a glass of wine with family and friends.


Karen Seldon
Circulation Manager


Karen joined the staff of Professional Surveyor in 1999. Her primary responsibilities include maintaining our circulation, the monthly distribution of the magazine to subscribers, state trade shows and conventions, and our semi-annual circulation audit. She enjoys walking and spending time with her family and cats.


Shelly Cox
Editor in Chief

Shelly helps solicit and develop feature stories and columns. She has an MA in English, hikes with her dog, and loves living near the magazine office in historic Harpers Ferry, West Virginia.

Angie Duman
Administrator, Classified Ad Sales

Angie has been with Professional Surveyor Magazine since 2001. She handles all accounting/human resources  as well as manages the classified ads and reprints for the magazine and website. When not at work, Angie can usually be found playing with her kids, scrapbooking, and watching her husband coach youth sports.


Michael Pfister
Art Director

Mike Pfister brings more than 14 years of art direction and award-winning design experience to the PSM team. Having worked in a variety of capacities, including regional magazines, studio design, and government outreach communications, Pfister has had his work recognized by the American Advertising Federation, the Art Directors Club of Metropolitan Washington, as well as Print, Graphis, and HOW magazines. Pfister earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in design from Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia.

Jeff Salmon
Web & Pangaea Editor

Jeff has been in the land surveying arena for more than six years, working as a survey instrument operator, land survey business manager, and a land-use consultant as well as a customer working with land surveyors in land development and building projects. Jeff is editor for Pangaea, our twice-monthly enewsletter, and posts news stories on our website weekly.
