Print Specs for full page ads: see below for additional sizes

Trim size: (see image at right for document set-up settings using InDesign)
8.375" x 10.875"

Bleed amount:
.1875" [3/16"]  *Please make bleed amount the same for all four sides

Safety Margins:
Entering these margins in the InDesign document set-up window will provide purple guidelines in the layout which can be helpful for visual reference. Critical elements (web addresses, legal disclaimers, logos, phone #'s, text) should not extend beyond this safety margin.

Left/Right: .25"
Top/Bottom: .3125"

Spreads:
Assuming the trim and bleed settings are entered in the InDesign document set up phase, there is no difference in initial settings for 2-page spreads. However, export a 2-page spread as (2) individual .pdf pages.

Exporting as PDF: (see image at right)*
• In the InDesign Export as PDF menu, select "Press Quality PDF". We are not too concerned about which "compatibility" selection is chosen.
• In the "Marks and Bleeds" tab, the only printers marks that should be selected are "Crop Marks."
• The crop mark "Offset" should be .1875"
• Select: "Use Document Bleed settings" [again, assuming the bleed tolerance was entered into the document set-up window.]

*These settings are for full-page ads. Ads that are less than full-page do not require crop marks or bleed.

Resolution:
All continuous tone imagery should have a minimum resolution of 300dpi at actual print size.

Color modes:
All elements should use CMYK color mode. Convert all spot colors to CMYK, including vector graphics that may be placed from Illustrator or other vector programs.

Rich Black:
Rich black text (black text that uses 2 or more process colors to darken the appearance of black) is prone to reveal registration variances on press. For this reason, please limit the use of rich black text to large headline text or large elements with no fine detail.
