Hey everyone,

Im looking at going back to university/college next year to study either Land Surveying or Civil Engineering. Problem is i just can't decide between the two.

I have various pros and cons for each of them but want to hear from anyone who is either a LS or CE about what they would choose AND why.

A 50m steel tape weighing 5.5kg is found to 0.006m too short. this tape was used to measure a rectangular lot 983m by 290m. the unit of steel is 0.008 kg per cubic meter
use E=200 giga pascal. determine the corrected area of the lot
